Frequently asked questions

Common questions about pricing, AWS costs, GitHub access, supported stacks, and getting started with ScaleBop.

What is ScaleBop?

ScaleBop is the next step after your AI builder. Keep building in Lovable, Bolt or v0; ScaleBop checks your code for common mistakes and puts your app into an AWS account you own, with the setup saved as code in your own GitHub repository.

Can I keep building in Lovable, Bolt or v0?

Yes. ScaleBop works from the GitHub repository your AI tool syncs to, so you keep building and previewing there. ScaleBop adds its setup to the same repository and deploys your app from it.

What does ScaleBop do with access to my GitHub?

The code check only reads your code. ScaleBop changes your repository only when you choose to deploy, and then through a pull request you approve, unless you choose a direct commit instead.

How much does ScaleBop cost?

Your first successful project launch is free — including a security check of your code, analysis, AWS CDK and GitHub Actions generation, one-time AWS setup, deployment monitoring, and initial custom-domain setup. Launch is $9/month or $79/year for an additional active project plus included regenerations. Studio is $19/month ($159/year) for up to three active projects. Team is $49/month ($399/year) for up to ten projects. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). AWS infrastructure is billed separately by AWS. Optional add-ons include done-for-you first deployment (from $299) and architecture review ($9/month, coming soon).

Does ScaleBop include AWS hosting costs?

No. You pay two separate bills: ScaleBop for your plan, and AWS for what your app uses, with no ScaleBop markup. AWS costs depend on your app: a static site usually costs very little, while an app that needs a server has a monthly baseline. ScaleBop shows ballpark monthly ranges before you deploy and links to the AWS Pricing Calculator.

What do I get on the free first launch?

The free first launch includes one GitHub project import, a security check of your code with plain-language findings, stack analysis and deployment-readiness checks, an AWS plan with cost estimates, full AWS CDK and GitHub Actions generation, one-time AWS and GitHub OIDC setup, deployment status until your app is healthy, initial custom-domain setup, and community or async email support. Failed attempts stay free until the real application passes its health check.

What tech stacks does ScaleBop support?

ScaleBop supports React and Vite apps, Next.js (static export or server-rendered), Node.js web apps, and Python web apps built with Flask or FastAPI. If ScaleBop can't deploy your app safely, it tells you why instead of deploying a placeholder. Existing hosted databases such as Supabase stay where they are.

Does ScaleBop train on my source code?

No. ScaleBop uses your imported project only to operate your workspace and deliver the service. We do not use your application source code to train generalized machine learning models.

Is Team pricing per seat?

No. Team is priced per team, not per seat. It includes up to ten production apps and priority support, with team members, roles and a shared project workspace as they ship.

How do I get started?

Create a free account, connect GitHub and pick the repository your AI tool syncs to. ScaleBop checks your code and whether it's ready to deploy, shows the proposed AWS plan, and then you approve a one-time AWS setup so ScaleBop can add the deployment setup to your repository.
